Stand up for affordable housing

80 hours per week. That’s how much a minimum wage earner must work to afford a one bedroom apartment in Toronto.

Developers are cashing in while low and modest income people struggle.

We need to fix the rules to unlock affordable housing for renters, young families, seniors and all Ontarians.

We can start by:

• Cracking down on housing speculators;
• Updated zoning laws to allow more laneway homes and secondary suites;
• Building medium-density housing that keeps the feel of a neighbourhood.
