It’s time to put patients first

While Doug Ford jokes about sending patients to the vet for life-saving tests, the healthcare crisis continues to spin out of control.

Ford’s relentless attacks on healthcare in Ontario resulted in 1,199 hospital emergency department closures last year while 9,800 nurses chose not to renew their licences, and finding a family doctor has become a full-time job.

This government’s continued underinvestment in our public healthcare system is already resulting in too many Ontarians dying while waiting for care.

Ford doesn’t get to joke about our healthcare system when he’s the one dismantling it.

We’re letting Ford know we didn’t find his joke very funny.

That’s why Ontario Greens are demanding that Ford and Health Minister Sylvia Jones abandon their privatization scheme and put patient care first.
