Endangered species can’t afford Highway 413

The Ford government’s newest bill, The Get it Done Act, was written to get rid of any protections afforded to endangered and threatened species that would halt or slow their sprawl-inducing mega-project, Highway 413.

That means many endangered and threatened species will lose their legal protections and as such, their survival will become even more precarious. As many as 29 at-risk species will be affected by the construction of Highway 413. Many of these species have decades-long projects to restore their populations that are now being undone to serve Ford’s sprawl agenda.

How many species will this government drive out of the province in order to serve car-dependent sprawl?

Ontario Greens are standing with environmental advocacy groups and demanding that the government drop their plans for Highway 413.
