Activity # Subject First Name Last Name Postal Code Email Source Send a Message Dear {{NAME}}, I am deeply concerned about the proposed Highway 413 plan and feel it is a waste of money that risks the extinction of several endangered species in Ontario. Your planned Highway 413 will cut through prime farmland, key fields and woods, while crisscrossing two major west GTA river systems. This puts several endangered species at risk of losing the last of their habitat in Southern Ontario. The survival of 29 at-risk species will be threatened by Highway 413. Their habitats will be paved over in the name of reducing gridlock when studies show that the 413 will only save drivers 30 seconds on their commute. Instead of building the 413 you could pay the tolls for truckers to use the 407 directly south of the proposed highway route and make a noticeable impact on traffic congestion immediately. The 407 sits underused while people commuting on the 401 continue to be bogged down by the thousands of trucks that use it every day. We don’t need to pave over our natural environment and farmland to reduce gridlock. Sincerely, You can submit this letter as-is or change it to reflect your own priorities. Your comment will be forwarded with the subject line "Endangered species can’t afford Highway 413", including your name, email and postal code to Premier Ford and Minister Khanjin. You will also be added to the Ontario Greens mailing list but you can unsubscribe at any time. MPP Email MPP Full Name
