Hands off the Greenbelt!

On December 6, the last day of the 2018 legislature, Doug Ford dropped a bomb on us. He opened a back door to developing the Greenbelt with a Bill that also guts hard-earned drinking water and environmental protections.

We’re not surprised. During the election, footage surfaced of then Candidate-Ford promising developers to “open a big chunk of the Greenbelt.”

But in the face of widespread public outrage, Ford back-tracked, stating: “The people have spoken. We won’t touch the Greenbelt.

Maya Angelou said, “when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” She was right in the case of Doug Ford.

The Greenbelt is the crown jewel of Ontario’s nature conservation and one of our strongest assets to grow food, prevent flooding and protect drinking water.

But the Premier wants to open it for business.

Ontario Greens will be mobilizing on a massive scale to save the Greenbelt.

We need your support, today!
