If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that people should stay home when they are ill.

But Ontario’s labour laws allow employers to require sick notes - forcing workers to go into crowded doctor’s offices and jeopardizing the health of everyone around them.

Mike Schreiner’s proposed law would fix that - permanently removing sick notes from the Employment Standards Act.

Let’s trust workers when they are ill.
Let’s stop wasting doctors’ time filling out sick notes.
