Stop destroying our natural heritage

Stop destroying our natural heritage

Doug Ford continues to declare open season on the places we love. Our wetlands, farmlands and greenspaces are critical to our communities. Help us tell Ford that it's time he placed people and planet first.

Doug Ford is supercharging the misuse of Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) by pushing through legislation that will allow MZOs to completely disregard the Planning Act.

With Schedule 3 of Bill 257, Ford is once again declaring open season on the places we love.

Our wetlands, farmlands and greenspaces are critical parts of our natural heritage that help protect our communities from the devastating impacts of flooding and other disasters due to climate change. And it is important that Ontarians have a voice in protecting them.

MZOs are the exception and not the rule. But Doug Ford doesn’t seem to care.

Ford’s government is throwing out decades of important planning laws and concentrating power in the hands of the Minister.

We need your help to tell Premier Ford that it’s time he stopped misusing MZOs and instead focused on putting people and planet first.

You can submit this letter as-is or change it to reflect your own priorities. Your comment will be forwarded with the subject line "Stop misusing MZOs and destroying our wetlands", including your name, email and postal code to the Premier of Ontario. You will also be added to the GPO mailing list but you can unsubscribe at any time.
