Stop the carnage at Marineland

Since 2019, sixteen beluga whales, one orca whale, two seals, and two sea lions have died. Marineland keeps proving that whales and dolphins shouldn’t be kept in captivity.

In 2021, Ontario’s Animal Welfare Services found that all marine mammals at Marineland were in distress due to the condition of the water.

Whales and dolphins are highly intelligent and social creatures that should not be living in such deplorable conditions. They should not be held in captivity or used for entertainment.

The calls to move animals to sanctuaries and close down Marineland’s animal enclosures have never been stronger. This government must take action to put an end to the inhumane conditions at Marineland.
