Doug Ford has decided that one of Ontario’s greatest assets, our agricultural land, is worth destroying to make way for more super-sprawler highways like Highway 413.

Ontario has some of the world’s best agricultural land and it’s disappearing at the rate of 319 acres every day. It’s a precious – and limited – resource. And once it’s been paved over, it’s gone forever.

Doug Ford has gone so far as to pass Bill 212 which exempts his government from doing meaningful consultation with the Indigenous communities or studying the environmental impacts of Highway 413.

That’s why we’re calling on Premier Ford to drop his plans for Highway 413 and commit to protecting our prime farmland.
