Right now, life in Ontario is getting harder.

Rents are soaring. Groceries cost more every week. Too many people are being pushed out of their communities while Doug Ford’s government protects the interests of wealthy insiders.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

As we prepare our legislative agenda for the 2026 session, we need to hear directly from you.

Which issues should we prioritize first? 

• Housing We Can Afford - Build more affordable homes in existing neighbourhoods without extra red tape.
• Rent Control - Bring back rent control for all rental homes and stop illegal evictions.
• Lower Living Costs - Stop big grocery chains from fixing prices and lower energy bills by investing in clean, affordable power.
• Protect Farmland - Stop sprawl and defend the Greenbelt, local farms, clean water and our food supply.
• Ending Homelessness - Use a Housing First approach that moves people from encampments into permanent homes with supports.
• Protect Local Jobs - Stop trade wars from threatening our job security and food supply.
• Public Healthcare - Stop privatization and ensure everyone in Ontario has access to a family doctor and accessible emergency care.
• Mental Healthcare - Expand access to mental health and addictions care, including by investing in supportive housing with wraparound care.
• Public Transit - Invest in affordable, reliable transit instead of costly highway and tunnel projects.
• Support Local Food & Businesses - Prioritize Ontario-grown food and locally made goods to grow our economy and secure our food supply.
• Social Assistance - Raise ODSP and OW rates to reflect the current cost of living.
• Workers’ Rights - Raise the minimum wage to $20, guarantee 10 paid sick days and strengthen protections for gig workers.
• Truth and Reconciliation - Honour provincial responsibilities and support Indigenous-led housing and healthcare.
• Climate Action - Phase out fossil gas power plants and create good jobs in clean energy.
• Protect Nature - Safeguard our rivers, forests and wetlands.
• Properly Fund Schools - Smaller class sizes and better student support.
